Delta owes you SkyMiles if your checked bag takes more than 20 minutes

Delta has a 20-minute bag guarantee for SkyMiles members.

If your bag takes more than 20 minutes, you are entitled to 2,500 miles.

The 20-minute countdown starts when the plane door opens at the date and stops when your bag is scanned at the carousel.

Submitting a claim is super easy, but it must be done within 2 hours of the flight completion.

Don’t leave miles on the table if your bag is delayed! You are entitled to these miles if your bag takes longer than 20 minutes.

You use this link to submit a claim and collect your miles.
